Terms and Conditions
At The Boarding, the health, safety and wellbeing of every cat in our care is our highest priority. We kindly ask all owners to read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before confirming a stay with us. Acceptance of these terms will be required prior to boarding.
Viewings
We warmly welcome and encourage viewings before booking. We want you to feel completely confident and comfortable with where your cat will be staying.
Viewings are available by prior appointment, allowing us to show you around our facilities and discuss your cat’s individual needs and routine.
Bookings & Payment
All stays must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your cat’s suite. Your booking is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
The remaining balance must be paid in accordance with the payment terms provided at the time of booking.
Minimum Stay
All bookings require a minimum stay of 3 nights. This allows us to maintain the calm, settled routine that is central to every guest’s comfort and wellbeing during their stay.
Isay “Arrivals & Collections” aur “Early Collections” ke darmiyan (ya “Bookings & Payment” ke turant baad) ek naya heading section ke tor par add kar dein — same style follow karte hue jaisa baaki T&C headings hain.
Arrivals & Collections
We operate an appointment system for arrivals and collections within our published opening hours. This allows us to provide every guest with a calm, organised arrival and departure.
If you are unable to attend during our usual times, please contact us in advance. Alternative arrangements may be available wherever possible.
Early Collections
Should you choose to collect your cat before the agreed departure date, we will always try to accommodate this. However, the full cost of the original booking remains payable, as the suite has been reserved exclusively for your cat for the entire period.
Health & Behaviour
The Boarding reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat if we have reasonable concerns regarding their health, behaviour or suitability for boarding, particularly where this could compromise their own welfare or that of other guests or staff.
Owners must disclose any known medical conditions, behavioural concerns, ongoing treatments or medications before arrival.
Veterinary Care
Owners are required to provide details of their registered veterinary practice, including appropriate contact and out-of-hours information.
Should your cat become unwell or require veterinary attention during their stay, we will make every reasonable effort to contact you or your nominated emergency contact.
Where veterinary treatment is considered necessary for your cat’s welfare, you authorise The Boarding to seek appropriate veterinary advice or treatment on your behalf.
Where possible, we will use your usual veterinary practice. If they are unavailable or circumstances require more immediate treatment, we reserve the right to use an alternative veterinary practice.
All veterinary fees and associated costs incurred during your cat’s stay remain the responsibility of the owner and must be settled accordingly.
Medication
Any medication must be provided in its original packaging with clear veterinary instructions, and full details must be supplied before your cat’s stay.
We believe essential healthcare is part of providing exceptional care. Therefore, we do not charge an additional fee for the routine administration of prescribed medication.
Vaccinations
For the protection of every guest, all cats must have appropriate, up-to-date vaccinations before staying at The Boarding.
Cats must be fully inoculated against Feline leukaemia, Feline infectious enteritis, Feline viral rhinotracheitis (Feline Herpes Virus) and Feline calicivirus, and must have had a booster injection within the previous twelve months.
The Animal Welfare Regulations 2018 requires that a current vaccination certificate must accompany every boarder on the day of its arrival; any boarder without a valid vaccination certificate will be refused boarding.
A valid vaccination record/certificate must be provided before or at the time of arrival. We reserve the right to refuse admission where satisfactory evidence of vaccination cannot be provided.
Owners are responsible for ensuring vaccinations and boosters have been completed within the appropriate timescales before boarding.
Flea & Worm Treatment
To maintain our exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and wellbeing, all cats must be up to date with appropriate flea and worm treatment before arriving for their stay.
Should evidence of fleas, worms or other internal or external parasites be identified during your cat’s stay, appropriate action will be taken to protect your cat and our other guests.
A £75 additional hygiene charge will apply to cover the additional care, grooming and enhanced cleaning and disinfection required for the suite, play area, bedding and associated items.
We recommend checking that your cat’s preventative treatments are up to date before their arrival at The Boarding.
Food & Dietary Requirements
Owners are required to provide sufficient quantities of their cat’s usual food for the entirety of their stay.
We deliberately maintain each guest’s normal diet wherever possible. Sudden changes in food can cause digestive upset and may create unnecessary additional stress, particularly when a cat is already adjusting to a different environment.
Any allergies, intolerances or specific dietary requirements must be disclosed at the time of booking.
Collars
For the safety of our guests, all collars will be removed for the duration of your cat’s stay. This helps minimise the risk of collars becoming caught on climbing, play or enrichment equipment and reduces the potential for avoidable injury.
Collars will be stored safely and returned to you when your cat is collected.
Transportation
All cats must arrive and depart in a suitable, secure cat carrier. We ask that your cat’s carrier remains at The Boarding throughout their stay, ensuring it is readily available should it be required.
For added convenience, we also offer a collection and return service, which can be arranged in advance for an additional fee and is subject to availability.
Our Commitment
By entrusting your cat to The Boarding, you can be assured that their comfort, welfare and individual needs will remain at the heart of everything we do.
